About the Restaurant Guys
The Restaurant Guys are Mark Pascal and Francis Schott. They have been in the restaurant and wine business on the high end for about 20 years each. They met in college and now own and operate Stage Left Restaurant in New Brunswick, NJ, one of the most highly regarded Contemporary American Restaurants on the East Coast.
They also have operated a retail wine shop focused on estate-bottled wines from small producers. They have been teaching New Jersey’s most well-regarded consumer class in wine since 1990. The New York Times raved about that class in a full page article which you can view at www.stageleft.com/press (last article in “In The News”).
Mark and Francis have consulted on restaurant projects large and small from country clubs bars to small food vendors to other top-tier restaurants and wine programs. These are two hard-working food and wine professionals who have been fortunate enough to meet with success in most of their ventures in the culinary arena and had a great deal of fun in the process. The many great people they have met along the way make up a unique community of passionate food and wine professionals, from farmers to importers to producers to restaurateurs to collectors to consumers to the guy they met last week who had his first glass of pinot noir at their bar and was astounded.
Mark and Francis always have time for a great meal, always have time to share a story and always have time for a great glass of wine.
They are excited about The Restaurant Guys Radio Show, as it is yet another venue for them to share their passion, welcome their old friends, make new friends and spread the word about what’s really important. Breaking bread with friends and family and coming together over the communal table.
