Alan Tardi began his career at Chantrelle and then Lafayette. In 1992 he opened up his restaurant Follonico, in New York City. The restaurant was praised for its Italian cooking. After the restaurant closed in 2001, Tardi made his home in Castiglione Falletto, Italy. He now divides his time between New York City and Castigilione. He works as a freelance writer and restaurant consultant.
